My first job in the industry. I was hired at Hypnotix as a texture artist right out of school. I had absolutely no 3D experience at all, all I could do was draw and paint. Pretty soon they had me learning this program called Deep Paint 3D. After texturing a couple of environment objects, I was given the opportunity to help out with the character textures. I don't have any personal samples of the work I've done on Outlaw Golf anymore, not like that they would be interesting anymore. Another great thing was I bullied my way into designing the box cover art and painting it.
In the end, this was actually a really good golf game... once you got past the fart jokes and sexually degrading humor. You can find this game anywhere now on sale for like 2 bucks. Models were made by Rich Diamant and Stuart Zissu. Textures were made by John Gaertner and myself.
A few months down the road, Blockbuster Video released an "Expansion Pack" of Outlaw Golf. I don't really add this onto the list of shipped games under my belt. The idea was to make a new golf course except in the snow for a wintery Christmas theme. I was given the job to simply "paint" new outfits on the old characters, not fun. Also they really liked Outlaw Golf's cover so they asked me to design this one too. I did, but someone over in marketing decided put a big fat red bow on it too without me knowing. Fun times. You can find this game in the same bin you probably found Outlaw Golf in, probably worth 25 cents.
